My marriage dissolved, I became a single parent, and my health suffered.

Five years ago marked a pivotal juncture in my life, a period defined by profound challenges that ultimately became the catalyst for a transformative journey of resilience and self-discovery. The dissolution of my marriage, coupled with the responsibilities of being a full-time parent to two young daughters—one of whom has autism and severe food allergies—plunged me into the uncharted territory of solitude.

Simultaneously, my physical health took a backseat, my business encountered setbacks, and the daunting task of relocating homes loomed large. To compound the difficulties, my father was battling stage 4 cancer. It was an exceptionally trying and isolating chapter that unprecedentedly pushed the boundaries of my resilience.

Amid this tumult, tears were a rare occurrence. Having weathered numerous tribulations, I had become desensitized to my own emotions. Yet, around three months into this challenging period, I consciously decided to draw strength from within. I resolved not to succumb to the adversities before me, understanding the critical importance of persevering—not only for the sake of my daughters but, perhaps more crucially, for my well-being.

Fast forward five years, and the transformation is nothing short of remarkable. Two bestselling books, the creation of an extraordinary community spanning five countries, the acquisition of a car through my efforts, a 40-pound weight loss, and the restoration of my health stand as tangible evidence of the resilience I summoned during that challenging time. I now find myself in a state of unparalleled happiness.

The journey was undoubtedly arduous yet immensely rewarding. My life is far from perfect today, but it is a testament to the power of resilience and our choices in the face of adversity. Reflecting on my experiences, I am acutely aware that many others are navigating their own challenging paths. To those currently facing difficulties, I offer a reminder that even when it seems you’ve reached your limit, there exists an opportunity to rise above and make a choice—every single day.

My life, while not flawless, is undeniably fulfilling. It is, in fact, the best it has ever been. The journey demanded hard work and unwavering determination, and I am a living testament to the transformative power of resilience. Regardless of your current struggles, understand that you possess the capacity to shape your narrative and carve a path toward a brighter future.

Embrace authenticity without fear. My most significant successes and personal growth occurred when I acknowledged my flaws while recognizing the awesomeness within. Once you accept that it’s okay not to be perfect and that not everyone will understand or appreciate you, life takes a positive turn. Be true to yourself, and witness the positive changes that unfold in your life.
