At only 15 years old, I made a decision that most teenagers wouldn’t even dream of—I started my own business.

What began as a passion for fashion quickly turned into something bigger, but the road to get there took a lot of work. From the start, I faced the challenges of being a young entrepreneur. I had to learn quickly, adapt constantly, and make sacrifices that many people my age didn’t have to consider.

One of the first things I had to master was the technical side of the fashion industry. Sewing, pattern-making, and working with designers weren’t skills I had when I first started, but they were necessary to bring my vision to life. While most 15-year-olds spent time with friends or focused on schoolwork, I dedicated countless hours to learning the craft. I worked late into the night, making sure every detail was perfect. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed, but I kept pushing forward because I believed in the brand I was creating.

Sacrifice quickly became a part of my daily life. I had to give up a lot—time with friends, carefree weekends, and typical teenage experiences. Instead of going to movies or hanging out with friends, I was busy building my business. It wasn’t always easy, but I knew it was worth it deep down. Every time I saw my products come to life and received customer feedback, I knew I was on the right path. Patience was something I had to learn along the way. I used to be incredibly impatient to see results, constantly asking, “When will we finally have a product?” But over time, I realized that success doesn’t come overnight. Building something great takes time, and I had to trust the process.

One of my most significant challenges was stepping out of my comfort zone. As a kid, I was incredibly shy—so shy that I wouldn’t even let my extended family pick me up. Public speaking terrified me, and the thought of sharing my story with others made me incredibly nervous. But as my business grew, I realized I would have to face those fears to get to the next level. I began pushing myself to do things I was uncomfortable with, starting with small speaking engagements and podcasts. Over time, I became more confident, and now I’ve spoken at major events like the Emmys. It’s been a massive personal transformation, and I’m incredibly proud of it.

My journey, however, has never been just about creating a fashion line. From the start, I’ve dreamed of building a brand like Off-White, one that’s about more than just clothing. I wanted to create a platform where I could collaborate with other creatives, explore new mediums, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of fashion and beyond. The vision I have for my brand is one of constant evolution, where creativity knows no limits. I’ve always been passionate about that idea, and despite the challenges along the way, that passion has never wavered.

One thing I wish I had known when I first started is how long it takes to get to where I am today. I used to think that once I had my designs, everything would fall into place quickly. I was so eager to see results that I often found myself frustrated with the pace of progress. But looking back, I realize that the time it took was necessary. Every step of the journey taught me something new, whether about the fashion industry, entrepreneurship, or even myself. I’ve learned that patience is one of an entrepreneur’s most valuable qualities. Success takes time, and sometimes, the waiting is just as important as the work itself.

Today, I’m proud of the brand I’ve built and the person I’ve become. What started as a shy childhood with a dream has turned into a confident entrepreneur who isn’t afraid to take risks, speak in front of crowds, and push creative boundaries. My story is one of resilience. I’ve faced challenges, made sacrifices, and stepped into roles I never thought I’d be capable of. But through it all, I’ve learned that success isn’t just about talent—it’s about persistence, dedication, and the courage to keep going, even when things get tough.

Looking ahead, I’m excited about what the future holds. My vision for my brand continues to evolve, and I’m more committed than ever to pushing the boundaries of creativity. I know there will be more challenges, but I’m ready for them. My journey so far has taught me that anything is possible with patience, passion, and resilience.

This is just the beginning.
