Describe the situation where you had to be resilient:
The lump in my throat had been there for over a year, the doctor’s thought was only a cyst. So, when my surgeon said, “I don’t know how to tell you this…” my heart skipped a beat and I felt like I was in another body. That was the second my journey began.
Juanita’s Story:
I told my doctor that I would heal myself with food. He laughed at me. I was in a deep spiralling hole, and then when I sat in front of 20 doctors and they told me my treatment options I thought NO!!!
I caused this so I will FIX this.
From that moment on I researched and found many who had cured cancer…so why couldn’t I? I juiced, supplemented, ate raw and organic, cleared EVERY chemical from my home and most of all cleared my mind of negative thoughts!
After raising five children, I focused on ME for once. The first time in 30 years since I had my first child. I became thinner, stronger, healthier and ALIVE. My doctors couldn’t believe how amazing I looked, compared to the newly diagnosed patient that had left with only dread and fear of the life that lay ahead!
How did you practice resilience when faced with this challenge?
At first it was dark, VERY DARK! The prospect of being cut, burnt and poisoned made my choice easy. Keeping my immune system strong was aim!
Please share one piece of advice for people who are going through a similar challenge:
Believe in yourself. Be selfish and take time for YOU! Ground yourself daily. Eat well and be forgiving. Cancer isn’t an invader- it’s part of you.
